The Association of Physically Disabled from Harghita County is an active member in protecting the disabled people’s rights from 1990. In spite of the efforts we have made so far to ease the access to public buildings from the county, this process was realized in a small proportion, the special parking spots are very few, and the newly built buildings do not correspond to the requirements stipulated by the 448/2006 law (republished in 2008). Moreover, we have observed that the newly built buildings or the recently rehabilitated roads do not correspond entirely to the necessities of the disabled people. Beside the financial causes, we have observed a lack of information and the existence of mentalities, which hinder the social inclusion of the disabled people.
